Have your items been tested for compostability by reliable sources?

Our compostable products at a minimum meet ASTM D6400 and/or ASTM D6868 standards for compostability.  At best, they are Certified Home Compostable, which break down the fastest without the temps required by commercial composters.

Most are certified compostable by a variety of third-party organizations. The organization used for certification typically varies by manufacturer. If a product is certified, it is noted in the "Features & Benefits" section in its product description. These organizations include BPI or Biodegradable Products Institute, CMA or Composters Manufacturing Alliance, TUV Austria, and more. Note that some companies claim their products are "Biodegradable" which is not the same or as good as Compostable as technically everything biodegrades over time. To learn about the difference, check out our article.
